The Chair of the Cherokee County Republican Party is sending this meeting notice of the County Committee for its regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend - Tuesday March 15, 2022. Attendance Check-In begins at 6:00 & must be completed by 6:45pm before business can be conducted beginning at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Location: Canton Historic Courthouse,100 North St. Canton, GA 30114. This electronic communication is being sent to all CCRP County Committee Members, in good standing, and is being published on the CCRP website under Events.
Pursuant to Article VI, Vacancies In Office., B. The position of Vice Chair, Communications became vacant due to the resignation of Kelly Reeves.
As part of the Agenda, it is our intent to fill the Office of Vice Chair, Communications. Heather Thompson has been appointed by the Chair, and approved by the Executive Committee as Acting Vice Chair, Communications and a vote to fill the position will be held at this meeting. Heather's resume can be viewed on the Members Only area.
Pursuant to Article XVII: Amendments A.The Executive Committee has approved, by a majority vote, to amend the Bylaws. The ByLaws may be amended at any County Committee meeting of the CCRP by a two-thirds (2/3) vote, a quorum being present after approval of a majority vote of the Executive Committee, which has occurred. Each Member of the Cherokee County Republican Party shall be given written notice, at least thirty (30) days prior to the County Committee meeting, setting forth the intention to amend Bylaws, and details of the proposed amendment(s). The following Proposed Bylaws Draft and other documents are in the "Members Only" area of the website for review, under "Download Forms" now for your review to facilitate this meeting.

If any County Committee Member is unable to attend this CCRP County Committee Meeting, please download and complete a proxy form:proxy and either email or text the proxy to the Secretary at secretary@cherokeegop.org or 770-722-2514, as well as to the CCRP Chair at Chair@cherokeegop.org All proxies from voting-eligible Members of the County Committee must be turned in 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting to be valid. When assigning your proxy to someone, please make sure they're a VOTING County Committee member, in good standing, who is attending, and is able & willing to vote for you.
