The August 22 Call Letter:
Pursuant to the Cherokee County Republican Party Bylaws Art. IV, Sect. E Subsect. 1, in my capacity as Chair of the CCRP, I am sending this meeting notice for the regularly scheduled quarterly COUNTY COMMITTEE meeting. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2022. Attendance Check-In begins at 6:00 & must be completed by 6:45pm before business can be conducted beginning at 7:00 pm, ending no later than 9:00 pm.
LOCATION: Canton Historic Courthouse, 100 North St, Canton, GA 30114
This electronic communication is being sent to all CCRP Members in good standing, and is being published on the CCRP website under Events. A separate email is being sent to all COUNTY COMMITTEE Members regarding Voting.
Pursuant to Article VI, Vacancies In Office., B. The Office of First Vice Chair, became vacant when former Chairman Mike Canipe resigned. This resulted in me becoming Chair by operation of the bylaws. See Art. VI, Sect. A. The offices of VC Fundraising, VC Candidates & Elected Officials, & VC Membership became vacant when Maury Nunes, Camille Brown, and Linda Jones resigned.
As part of the Agenda, it is our intent to to confirm by majority vote, the Offices of First Vice Chair, VC Fundraising, VC Candidates & Elected Officials, & VC Membership. Nine candidates were vetted; Linda Parker was elected by the Executive Committee as Acting First Vice Chair, Dawn Marr, Marsha McClure, & David Hanos were elected as VC Fundraising, VC Candidates & Elected Officials, & VC Membership, respectively.
All Candidates Applications, Interviews & Resumes can be viewed under the "Members Only" area. Withdrawn Candidate information is also published in the same area.
It is requested that Nominations for candidates any Vice Chair position, if applicable, be submitted at least 10 days prior to this meeting in order for the Vetting Committee process to take place.
