Cherokee County Republican Party
Engaged, Involved, Community-Driven

The Cherokee County Republican Party is GROWING, and we have many new ideas that we are looking to implement! However, there is a LOT of work to go around, so the CCRP needs YOUR help to keep up with all of our many initiatives! We have so many bright and talented members, and we want to provide you with the opportunity to use your skills and talents to help us keep Cherokee RED! The CCRP is looking for volunteers to either chair or serve on the following committees:

Membership

Committee members will work with the Vice Chair of Membership to expand and grow the CCRP. Interested individuals should apply to the CCRP Vice Chair of Membership and membership committee chair at vc-membership@cherokeegop.org.

Communications

Committee members will help with messaging and outreach for the CCRP. Interested individuals should apply to the CCRP Vice Chair of Communications and communications committee chair at vc-communications@cherokeegop.org.

Fundraising

Supporting great Republican candidates, getting behind important causes, or keeping our headquarters open costs money. Members of the fundraising committee will come up with, collaborate on and help plan fundraising initiates. Interested individuals should apply to the CCRP Vice Chair of Fundraising and fundraising committee chair at vc-fundraising@cherokeegop.org.

CCRP Event Planning

Is in charge of planning miscellaneous CCRP-hosted events (events not hosted by a specific committee).

CCRP Community Events

Not to be confused with the Event Planning Committee, the Community Events Committee is in charge of identifying events in the community that the CCRP should plan on being a part of (for example, identifying the Woodstock 4th of July parade as an event where the CCRP should have a booth) and regularly present a prospective 12-18 month calendar to the EC for consideration.

CCRP Booth Brigade

Not to be confused with the Event Planning Committee or the Community Events Committee, this committee is responsible for “set up” for community events or other events where the CCRP is going out into the community (for example, a sign waving event). Although we already have a chair, this committee can always use more members (and more muscle!).

Director of Technology

Is in charge of assisting the EC / CCRP with anything related to IT or other tech. Serve as site admin for CCRP website. Will have and appoint a committee. For more information see CCRP Bylaws Article IV, Sect. B.4.

Young Republicans Outreach and Coordination

This committee and chair will coordinate with the Cherokee County Young Republicans to engage and reach out to younger voters in Cherokee County.

CCRP Internship

In correlation with the YR outreach and coordination committee, this committee and chair will explore the creation of a CCRP internship program. This program will allow the CCRP to give back to the community by giving college students or other young professionals the opportunity to gain experience in the political realm, while also being a great source of volunteers.

Poll Watcher & Training Coordination

Will be responsible for recruiting poll watchers and coordinating assignments. May eventually be trained to conduct training so that we can transition to having this committee conducting poll watcher training.

Resolutions

Chair and committee members will review resolutions submitted to be considered for adoption by the Executive or County Committees.

Monthly Breakfast

Will be responsible for set up, ordering food and cleaning up after the monthly breakfast. May also take on the responsibility of coordinating speakers for the breakfasts.

Headquarters Staffing

Committee members will volunteer at the CCRP Headquarters to make sure that it is staffed and can be open during the day to better help us reach out to Cherokee County.

Facility Operations Committee

If you prefer to help from behind the scenes, please consider the facility operations committee, which will be responsible for setting up large events at our headquarters as well as minor maintenance (for example, mounting a TV on the wall, repairing a hole in the wall, changing a doorknob, etc.) and keeping the space clean and tidy.

Local Candidates, Candidate Recruiting & Vetting

Seeking candidates to run for public office in Cherokee County’s municipalities. The deadline to qualify for these positions is fast approaching, so if you have ever thought about running for office and live in a municipality, the CCRP can and would like to assist you! If you are interested in running, please reach out to chair@cherokeegop.org. We also need help recruiting and vetting such candidates, so if you do not want to run or cannot because you do not live in a municipality but would still like to be involved in this initiative, please reach out to our municipal elections task force chair.
